Green, blue and red: these are the colours that guests see from their rooms at Il Pellicano, today part of The Leading Hotels of the World. Green is the colour of the gardens, blue that of the sea and the sky, and red the walls of the cottages. The hotel is surrounded by rugged Mediterranean scrubland, and offers the perfect mix of luxury, exclusiveness and privacy. The cottages scattered throughout the gardens were built in part by the Grahams, and later transformed into welcoming hotel rooms by the designer Marie Louise SciĆ².

In the fragrant Mediterranean scrubland, among cypress trees and centuries-old olive trees, are 34 double rooms, five junior suites, six deluxe suites and five master deluxe suites. One or more cottages are available for exclusive rental to enjoy absolute privacy with family or friends. The sober elegance and atmosphere of the private villa, with its spectacular view of the sea and its garden, create a feeling of peace that through the years has entranced Ted Kennedy, the Dutch and Spanish royal families, and Gianni Agnelli. The furnishings and paintings in all of the rooms create the atmosphere of a typical Tuscan home, with ceramic objects and bathrooms with warm wood finishes. All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a safe and free minibar.
Il Pellicano Hotel, overlooking a spectacular bay on the Argentario coast, in Tuscany, is composed of a group of cottages and a central building. The rooms, cottages and suites that have welcomed the international jet set, are all different, but all decorated in muted colours, original decorations and refined furnishings and fabrics, chosen by the designer Marie Louise SciĆ². The large Master Suites offer five-star services that remind guests that they are indeed in a hotel. The Master Deluxe Suite has a glorious swimming pool including a countercurrent swimming machine with heated seawater and a breathtaking view of the sea. From the terraces of the Master Deluxe Suite Sea View, guests see only the sea and the garden. The Deluxe Suites, with their balconies or terraces offering a surprising view of the coast, have elegant but never pretentious furnishings and objects, recreating the warmth of home. The bathrooms, all different, have tiles hand-painted by Italian craftsmen. Families or groups of friends can rent one or more cottages exclusively, with room for three to eight people.
